A rare Ferrari Monza SP2 with Saudi number plates was confiscated by the UK’s Metropolitan Police after it was discovered that the car was uninsured and the driver held only a provisional licence.
The Monza SP2 was originally sold in 2018 for $2 million (approx. BD750,000), but its value today ranges between $3m and $5m (approx. BD1.1 million to BD1.8 million).
The super-car was impounded as part of a campaign launched by the Met Police against anti-social driving, and is one of 90 vehicles seized so far.
Vehicles worth €8 million (BD3.4 million) have reportedly been confiscated by police during the operation.
