National Security Adviser and Royal Guard Commander Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa received Defence Staff deputy chief for Military Strategy and Operations of the United Kingdom Lieutenant General Charlie Collins.
Deputy National Security Adviser Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa and Strategic Security Bureau chairman Shaikh Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa were present.
Shaikh Nasser highlighted the depth of the historical and strategic relations between Bahrain and the UK, as well as the close and evolving co-operation between the two countries across various fields, particularly in the military and defence sectors.
He also stressed the importance of the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) as a key pillar in strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The meeting also addressed areas of co-operation that serve the two countries’ mutual interests, as well as ways to enhance co-ordination and consultation on various challenges.
The two sides exchanged views on the most significant regional and international developments in support of security and stability.
