SOLIDARITY Bahrain, one of the largest insurance companies in Bahrain and a subsidiary of Solidarity Group Holding, issued its 2025 ESG Report, presenting a consolidated overview of the environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance of Solidarity Bahrain’s performance following the integration of Bahrain National Insurance (bni) and Bahrain National Life Assurance (bnl) into a single, stronger and more integrated takaful entity.
The report reflects the company’s continued commitment to adopting and embedding responsible business practices across all areas of its operations.
Under its people-focused agenda, the report highlights Solidarity’s commitment to promoting equal employment opportunities and fostering a safe and healthy workplace that supports employee wellbeing and professional development.
These efforts have enabled the company to maintain a Bahrainisation rate of 88 per cent, while women represent 37pc of the total workforce, with 33pc of them holding leadership positions.
The report further highlights initiatives to support employee health and well-being, including medical check-ups, awareness sessions, fire drills, fire marshal training, and first-aid training.
On governance, the report highlights Solidarity’s continued focus on upholding the highest standards of governance, integrity, ethical conduct, risk management, data privacy and cybersecurity.
Solidarity Bahrain recorded zero incidents of corruption, whistleblowing, conflicts of interest, and data privacy violations during the reporting year.
As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen compliance and institutional awareness, the company achieved a 100pc participation rate in anti-money laundering (AML) and information security awareness training.
It also maintained its ISO 27001 certification for Information Security Management Systems, ISO 22301 certification for Business Continuity Management Systems and ISO 9001 for Quality Management Systems.
As part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility, Solidarity Bahrain continued to strengthen its strategic partnership with the General Directorate of Traffic by implementing a range of awareness initiatives and campaigns aimed at enhancing road safety and promoting a culture of responsible driving across the kingdom.
The company also supported INJAZ Bahrain by sponsoring a dedicated youth learning space at its new headquarters, reaffirming its commitment to empowering Bahraini youth, developing their skills, and supporting programmes that prepare them for the labour market.
In addition, Solidarity organised a series of health awareness sessions for its corporate clients to promote preventive healthcare and encourage healthier lifestyles.
Further reinforcing its commitment to community well-being, Solidarity Bahrain donated automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to several Bahraini football clubs, helping enhance emergency preparedness and reduce the risk of sudden cardiac arrest during sporting activities.
Following the recent circumstances faced by the kingdom, Solidarity strengthened its role in the community by introducing initiatives that support national efforts, in addition to launching services aimed at safeguarding the physical and mental well-being of its customers by ensuring uninterrupted access to healthcare services, remote medical consultations and necessary medications.
As part of its national role and commitment to the community, Solidarity Bahrain introduced exclusive offers and benefits on general insurance and motor insurance policies for the frontliners from the Bahrain Defence Force, National Guard, Interior Ministry, and Health Ministry, in recognition of their continuous efforts and vital role in safeguarding the kingdom’s security and stability.
