The Housing and Urban Planning Ministry has developed the home renovation application process by converting the verification of citizens’ data from a manual procedure to an automated electronic process.
This will help speed up the processing of applications, improve procedural efficiency and enhance the quality of housing services provided to citizens as part of ongoing government efforts to improve and re-engineer services.
Under the developed service, the service completion time has been reduced from 20 working days to five working days, and the service level agreement period has been reduced by 25 per cent.
Information published about the service has also been standardised across different channels by directly verifying the applicant’s data, instead of the manual verification procedures
previously used.
Housing and Urban Planning Minister Amna Al Romaihi explained that the re-engineering of the process aims to achieve 100pc electronic transformation, enhancing the accuracy and transparency of procedures and improving integration between the relevant authorities.
