BAHRAIN and the United Kingdom share a long-standing history of close co-ordination, especially in defence and military affairs as allies and friends, His Majesty King Hamad, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, has said.
The King commended these strong relations when he received Britain’s Defence Staff for Military Strategy and Operations deputy chief Lieutenant General Charlie Collins, who is currently visiting Bahrain.
His Majesty stressed the mutual commitment to developing these relations at all levels.
He also highlighted the key role played by the UK regionally and internationally and its efforts to strengthen security and stability.
The meeting discussed regional and international developments, particularly the latest developments in the region, as well as issues of mutual interest.
Lt Gen Collins expressed appreciation for His Majesty’s efforts to strengthen the historic friendship and close military and defence co-operation between the two countries.
