VOLLEYBALL – Bahrain will be looking to maintain their winning ways tonight in the second Arab Youth Volleyball Championship, currently being hosted by the kingdom.
After dominant straight-set victories against Jordan and Algeria, the Bahrainis face off today with Kuwait at Isa Bin Rashid Volleyball Arena at Isa Sports City in Riffa. The game is scheduled for a 7pm start.
Also this evening, Algeria take on Jordan at 3pm, followed by a crucial clash between Egypt and defending champions Saudi Arabia at 5pm.
Following their game with Kuwait today, the Bahrainis play their penultimate assignment against Saudi on Friday and then complete their tournament schedule against Egypt on Sunday next week on the championship’s concluding night.

Coached by veteran Bahraini tactician Yusuf Khalifa, the nationals are competing at home with a squad that includes outside hitters Sayed Hasan Alabbar, Ebrahim Alhamar, Abdulla Aljaboori, Mohamed Haram, and skipper Nasralla Haram; opposite spikers Karrar Yaqoob, Mohammed Kadhem, and Hadi Hussain; middle blockers Ammar Ebrahim, Mustafa Ebrahim, and Ali Abdulla; setters Ahmed Husain and Hussain Albalooshi; and liberos Hadi Ahmed and Abbas Mohamed.
