BASKETBALL – The prestigious international course for basketball coaches, to be conducted in Bahrain by Olympic medal-winning tactician and former NBA champion assistant coach Sergio Scariolo, takes place today at the Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) Arena in Um Al Hassam Sports Complex.
The event, entitled EuroLeague Head Coaches Board (EHCB) Clinic 2026, is organised by the BBA in cooperation with the EHCB.
It will be held from 9am to 4pm with a large number of participants expected to join.
Ahead of today’s clinic, a delegation from the EHCB arrived in the kingdom, including EHCB executive director Goran Sasic and EHCB operations manager Jelena Todorovic.
They were welcomed at Bahrain International Airport by BBA coaches committee chairman Saleh Al Haddad, who expressed his delight in their visit and emphasised the importance of today’s clinic.
This year’s event follows the positive reception of a similar international coaching course held in the kingdom last year.
Aside from attending the clinic, Sasic and Todorovic are scheduled to hold meetings with BBA officials to discuss ways of joint cooperation and the possibility of implementing future projects and programmes with the EHCB.
