His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa said the support Bahraini youth receive from His Majesty, embodies the King’s belief that young people are the leaders of the future, and partners in shaping the nation’s future.
Shaikh Nasser also noted that the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, is a cornerstone in promoting initiatives and programmes that meet the youth’s aspirations and provide them with quality opportunities for learning, training and gaining experience in various domains.
This came during a visit by Shaikh Nasser to the 15th edition of Youth City 2030, organised in collaboration with the Labour Fund ‘Tamkeen’ and the Summer Sports City, in the presence of a number of officials.
He praised the progress made by the 15th edition of Youth City 2030 in attracting young people and engaging them in a comprehensive experience that combines learning, application and practice.
Shaikh Nasser praised the diversity of partnerships that helped enrich the City’s experience and training content.
He commended the specialised sporting programmes and activities offered by the Summer Sports City.
Shaikh Nasser also toured the Summer Sports City, one of the specialised centres hosted by Youth City 2030, and was briefed on the integrated system of sports programmes and activities it offers.
During the tour, he received a commemorative gift from Bahrain Islamic Bank in recognition of his support for the second edition of the ‘We Write in Arabic’ initiative, and to mark the launch of the initiative’s third edition.
