Eighteen-year-old lifter Jhon Lopez bagged three medals for Bahrain today at the Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships 2026 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Competing in the junior men’s 110kg category, Lopez secured two silver medals for snatch and total, while also claiming bronze in clean and jerk.
Lopez’s best lift in snatch was 170kg, while his top clean and jerk mark was 201kg. He thus registered a total of 371kg, earning him his place on the overall podium.
