Specially printed T-shirts were handed over to Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Bahrain by the Rotary Club of Manama in support of its Diabetes Mobile Unit (DMU) project.
Club president Ghizlane Rahali and past president Robert Timmers attended the handover. Visiting schools across Bahrain, the award-winning DMU project teaches children how to prevent obesity and Type 2 diabetes and encourages healthier lifestyle choices.
The programme, established in 2012, is a joint project between the Bahrain Diabetes Society and RCSI Bahrain and is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Manama.
