His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace.

It affirmed that the government remains committed to translating His Majesty’s directives into effective plans, programmes, and initiatives.
These include strengthening cooperation and integration with the legislative authority to achieve national priorities, updating and integrating economic legislation, enhancing Bahrain’s investment environment and its competitiveness, expanding the knowledge-based economy, supporting energy sustainability and environmental protection, and strengthening food and water security as key components of comprehensive national security.
The Cabinet also welcomed His Majesty’s directive to designate next year as the ‘Year of Isa bin Salman’, in honour of the late leader’s legacy and national contributions that have made him a model for all who dedicate their lives to serving their country. The Cabinet tasked the relevant authorities with taking the necessary measures to implement the Royal directive.
The meeting also noted His Majesty’s announcement designating June 1 as an annual national occasion and an official public holiday, to be known as ‘Day of Pledge and Loyalty,’ which will serve as a lasting testament to national unity and loyalty.
