The 2017 Forbes List of Most Powerful Arab Women has honoured eight Omanis – seven of whom are from the business sector.
In the category of women in government postions, Education Minister Madiha bint Ahmed bin Nasser Al-Shibaniya has been ranked seventh.
The 2017 Forbes list has also named seven other outstanding Omani women in recognition of their achievements in the field of business.
The list includes Amal Bahwan, Vice Chairperson of Suhail Bahwan group (12th), Haifa Al Khaifi, CFO at PDO (26), Rawan Al Said, Chairperson and MD at National Bank of Oman and Takaful Oman (28th).
It also features Hind Bahwan, founder and chairperson of Bahwan Cybertek(33), Huda Al Lawati, Chief Investment Officer of Savola group(63), Sharifa Al Harthy, Vice Chairperson of MB Holding (69), and Lujaina Darwish, Chairpeson of Mohsin Haider Darwish(72).
