Manama: His Majesty King Hamad arrived in Dubai yesterday to offer condolences following the death of Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.
He headed to Zabeel Palace where he offered profound condolences and sympathy to the UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum over the death of the late Shaikh Rashid.
He also condoled with Dubai Crown Prince Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Dubai Ruler and UAE Finance Minister Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Dubai Ruler Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and members of the Al Maktoum family.
Shaikh Mohammed expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to King Hamad for his noble feelings which, he said, reflect the solid deep-rooted relations bonding the two countries and their people.
The King returned to Bahrain last night.
His Majesty’s Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa extended condolences on the death of Shaikh Rashid.
He arrived in the UAE and extended condolences to Shaikh Mohammed, the Dubai Crown Prince and Al Maktoum family.
