THE first National Geographic Learning (NGL) resource centre outside North America and Europe opened at Bahrain University yesterday.
The centre at the university’s Sakhir campus was inaugurated by university president Dr Riyad Hamzah and Cengage International president Alexander Broich.
It will enable students to speed up their English language skills through a combination of technology and 7,000 new books provided by the NGL.
Daily up to 3,000 students will have access to learning resources at the centre through direct access and online platforms.
NGL is a part of Cengage, an education and technology company built for learners.
