Manama: His Majesty King Hamad yesterday paid tribute to late scholar Shaikh Suleiman Al Madani for dedicating his efforts to serve his religion and nation and embrace moderate thinking which has long marked the people of Bahrain.
He received at Sakhir Palace, Dr Shaikh Mohammed Taher bin Al Sheikh Suleiman Al Madani, who presented copies of the late scholar’s books, as well as a PhD dissertation in Islamic studies. Mohammed Hadi Al Halwaji was also present.
The King hailed the late scholar’s contribution to scientific and cultural life in Bahrain, lauding his religious and national standing in Bahraini society. He expressed Bahrain’s pride in the role of scholars and national figures in serving their country.
