Riyadh – The first Belotte championship will start today in the Saudi Capital, Riyadh.
The General Entertainment Authority is organising the four-day event at the APEX Convention Centre and the green hall at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Olympic Complex in Riyadh.
The top four winners will be rewarded with cash prizes worth SR500,000, SR250,000, SR150,000 and SR100,000 respectively.
The debut championship has attracted 12,288 contestants who were selected electronically across the country.
The General Entertainment Authority has engaged 414 umpires to monitor the championship and ensure rules and regulations are met.
The Belottee championship is part of a plan to revive popular traditional and mind games in different Saudi governorates.
