Kuwait City: The overall population living in Kuwait stood at 4,588,148 by June 2018, according to Alanba newspaper.
According to official statistics released by Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI), Kuwaiti nationals make up 31 per cent of the overall population, standing at 1,385,960.
Kuwait has the third lowest rate of nationals, preceded by Qatar (21%) and the UAE (19%).
Saudi nationals make up 63% of the overall population in the Kingdom, compared with 47% in Bahrain and 56% in Oman.
The PACI statistics revealed that citizens make up 52% of the overall population living in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states.
