Horeca Trade, a Bidfood company - a leading multi-channel foodservice provider of international F&B brands in the UAE, has announced an exclusive distributorship with New Zealand-based Fonterra to supply dairy products to the country’s foodservice channels.
Fonterra, a leading global dairy company, will be supplying a variety of dairy products under its foodservice brand Anchor Food Professionals, said a statement from the company.
These products include Anchor Extra Whip Whipping Cream, Anchor Unsalted Bulk Butter and Anchor Soft Style Cream Cheese, amongst others, it said.
Wael Al Jamil, chief commercial officer, Bidfood Middle East, said: “We are delighted to be appointed as an authorised distributor of Fonterra, which is known for its high-quality dairy products.”
“We take pride in collaborating with big names in the F&B industry, who demonstrate commitment to high standards for our clients, and complements our strategy to offer wider choices of quality products to growing F&B consumer base in the UAE,” he added.
Malek Inja, regional foodservice director, Fonterra, said: “The UAE has huge growth potential for our company and its partnership with Horeca Trade will help expand its reach and customer base across the UAE.”
“The F&B industry in the GCC is expected to grow at 7.1 per cent annually to reach Dh719.3 billion ($195.82 billion) by 2021. With the UAE accounting for nearly one third of this market share, we see exciting potential for growth,” Inja said.
Inja continued: “We are pleased to be partnering with Horeca Trade, who has always had a reputation for delivering the best services in the foodservice sector and in the most efficient manner.”
“We look forward to capitalising on Horeca Trade’s extensive sales and distribution network to broaden our customer base across the UAE,” Inja added.
In line with its strategy to expand its portfolio of products with more international brands, Horeca Trade has recently entered partnerships with some of the biggest names in the F&B industry including Nutella, Raj Mehak (rice), and BMB – Baklawa Made Better (Mediterranean sweets and full solution of bakery ingredients), it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
