Abu Dhabi: Four people were killed and another injured in a horrific road accident which happened at Al Nasriya area in Al Ain in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The driver lost control of his vehicle which swerved and flipped over before ramming into a lamppost, which caused his death as well as that of another passenger.
A second vehicle involved in the accident ran over two women crossing the road resulting in their deaths.
Brigadier Salim Bin Barak Al Dhahiri, director of the Traffic Department of Al Ain, said that unauthorised car modifications were the main cause of the accident, according to Emarat Alyoum.
