Muharraq routed Al Hidd 4-0 in the final to clinch the title in the Bahrain Football Elite Cup competition last night at Muharraq Club Stadium in Arad.
It was Muharraq’s first football title this season after a disappointing campaign in the league and the King’s Cup competitions.
The first half ended 2-0 for Muharraq who dominated Al Hidd throughout. Muharraq’s first goal came after just six minutes before Brazilian Everton made it 2-0 at the end of the first half with a brilliant strike in the 26th minute.
Muharraq went on to score two more goals in the last minute of the game through Ali Jamal in the 90th minute and Ismael Abdullatif in injury time to seal a well-deserved victory, and the title.
