Jeddah: A huge fire broke out in a large scrapyard in northern Jeddah, in Saudi Arabia.
Thick columns of black smoke were seen billowing from the blaze, which engulfed a number of derelict vehicles.
The Saudi Civil Defence deployed 15 firefighting and rescue teams to the scrapyard in the neighbourhood of Shalih to contain the flames before spreading to neighbouring areas.
Mecca province civil defence deputy spokesperson, Colonel Mohammed bin Othman said that the firemen were battling the blaze which was worsened by strong winds.
