The stage is set for the semifinals and finals of the the 4th E.K. Kanoo Juniors Open Tennis Championship for the 6-8 and the 9-10 unisex titles at Bahrain Tennis Club in Juffair, writes MAZIN RIZK.
The first semifinal in the 6-8 unisex section will be played between Sonawane Rushikesh and Vyom Gupta. In yesterday’s quarter-finals, Sonawane defeated Jacob Joshua 4-0 while Vyom moved past Jenan Majeed 4-2.
In the second semifinal, Maran Janahi will clash with Verbeeek Budica. In the quarterfinal, Marwan defeated Nagar Vandan 4-2 while Verbeek claimed a 4-1 win over Ahmed Riyan.
Both semifinals will be played today at 4pm at the BTC courts with the final starting at 4.30pm.
In the 9-10 unisex section, Ali Darion will play the first semifinal against Takano Riku today at 4pm.
Ali managed a 7-2 quarterfinal win over Pagadala Kishan yesterday while Takano defeated Ashwin Aryan with the same score.
The second semifinal will see Rohab Mukherjee play against Esa Al Qattan. Rohan reached the semfinals after defeating Al Huda Mohammed 7-2 while Esa moved past Sushmitha 7-3.
The 9-10 unisex final will be played on Wednesday at 4pm.
