Kuwait: A Kuwaiti national was reportedly among the victims of a Nepalese plane which crashed yesterday in a mountainous area.
Ahmed R. is believed to have been on the Tara Air jet which was carrying twenty people, two of them foreigners, a Chinese and a Kuwaiti.
Kuwaiti foreign ministry said that it followed up reports that a citizen was among the passengers on the ill-fated plane.
An official source told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the ministry had assigned a diplomat serving at the embassy in India to head to Nepal to verify the reports and follow up on investigations concerning the crash with the Nepalese authorities.
The aircraft was on a 19-minute flight from Pokhara, a popular tourist destination in Nepal, to Jomsom, the gateway to a Himalayan trekking route when it crashed, according to a report in Qabas.
