A total of 291 new cases of the coronavirus (Covid-19) infection have been recorded in Bahrain today.
Of the new cases, 188 were reported among expatriate workers while 103 were contacts of active cases.
The new cases took the total number of active cases to 4,499, of which eight remain critical.
Of the active cases, 30 are receiving treatment.
The Health Ministry also announced that 116 patients had left isolation and treatment facilities today, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,581.
The total number of people tested for Covid-19 in Bahrain has reached 280,270 so far.
