She might be the most popular Bollywood celebrity to attend Cannes film festival every year, but this didn’t stop a security guard to deny her entry to an event during the recently concluded festival. The incident happened, when Aishwarya, along with the team of her upcoming film Jazbaa, was at the doors of India Pavilion for a photo call. But to everyone’s surprise, the entire team was denied the entry because they were not carrying the required blue pass.
Reportedly, Embassy protocol officer Satya Paul Singh and representatives of FICCI came to her rescue after 20 minutes. They convinced the authorizes that the actress is an international celebrity and should be given the entry. Satish Reddy, Managing Director of World News Network, who was present during the fiasco, told to a leading website, “The security personnel didn’t allow Aishwarya access to the India Pavilion because she was not in possession of the Blue Pass. Therefore, Aishwarya and the whole ‘Jazbaa’ team had to wait 20 minutes or more at the gate.”
“It was the prompt initiative taken by Satya Paul Singh and the FICCI representatives that saved the day,” added Reddy.
