ONE of Bahrain’s oldest money transfer and currency exchange service providers has begun receiving payments for individual transactions through Bahrain’s national digital wallet service, BenefitPay.
This step, taken by the Bahrain Financing Company (BFC), is in line with its commitment to encourage cashless transactions and work around the kingdom’s vision to strengthen the digital community by launching a variety of services in different sectors, especially the financial sector which has become dependable on electronic transactions.
Customers can now avoid handling cash and pay for their remittances, currency exchanges and bill payments via BenefitPay at BFC branches across the island.
“We are delighted to have partnered with Benefit – this association will help us enhance and provide our customers with added payment options,” said BFC general manger (retail) Deepak Nair.
“BenefitPay is amongst the most innovative tools which has the option of electronic payments, allowing our customers to have an added payment option, especially during these difficult times where our focus is directed at reducing the use of physical cash, in line with the preventative measures taken to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
“As a leading exchange house in the kingdom, BFC always seeks to provide innovative and convenient services to its customers and provide value for their money.”
