Bollywood is firmly on top of the pile when it comes to the number of movies produced in a year. No other film industry in the world comes even close to the Hindi film industry. But there are some movies in Bollywood, which don't get released despite a strong star cast and renowned directors.

‘Dus’
A dream to see Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt together in a movie after a long time will not come true.
The director of the movie Mukul S Anand died leaving the movie incomplete.

‘Devaa’
It might sound surprising but director Subhash Ghai and Amitabh Bachchan have never done a movie together.
'Devaa' was suppose to bring the two together, but it was never released.
‘Koochie Koochie Hota Hai’
It was supposed to be an animated spin-off of super-hit 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'.
The three main casts Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Kajol were on board.
Though the trailer was released in 2010 but for some reason the film was put on hold and never released.

‘Munnabhai Chale Amerika’
'Munnabhai' had become a money making franchise after two previous hits. The 3rd edition of the movie was planned with the name ‘Munnabhai Chale Amerika’.
In 2010 a trailer too was release, but the project couldn't take off.
'Zameem'
Never been seen before star cast was planned for this movie from Vinod Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi.
But finances ran dry before half the movie got complete.
It was supposed to be Ramesh Sippy’s magnum opus.

‘Xtreme city’
There were media reports back in 2011 that ace director Matin Scorsese will produce this movie which may have Shah Rukh Khan and Leonardo DiCaprio in it.
The movie was of two characters who hailed from two very different world. But sadly the project never really took off.
‘Time Machine’
The movie was supposed to be way ahead for its time to be directed by Shekar Kapur with Aamir Khan in lead.
A sci-fi movie that dealt with time travel.
Lack of finances led to the shelving of the movie.

‘Taalisman’
This was supposed to be Vidhu Vinod Chopra's magnum opus with Amitabh Bachchan.
A romantic fantasy adventure film was based on the novel Chandrakanta but due to financial troubles the project got shelved.

‘Paani’
This movie was supposed to be Shekhar Kapur's dream project for which Sushant Singh Rajput, whom you will see in forthcoming movie ‘M.S Dhoni : The Untold Story’, was also roped in.
Due to creative difference between Shekahr Kapoor and producers there was a deadlock.
The story is based on a futuristic take on Romeo and Juliet and currently shelved and probably never see it release.
‘Lets Catch Veerapan’
Ram Gopal Verma wanted to make a black comedy about the team that wanted to catch ‘Veerapan’. But before any work could happen, the sandalwood dacoit was killed and the movie had to be shelved.
But the subject wasn't away from him as his new movie ‘Veerappan’ has recently released.
