Seven Asians were arrested for allegedly selling prohibited tobacco, the Capital Governorate Police Directorate said.
It added that an investigation was launched to arrest the suspects and said the mastermind of the smuggling racket was from a neighbouring Gulf state.
The case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
