A SECOND booster shot has been approved for individuals aged 18 and above who have received three doses of the Sinopharm vaccine.
The decision was approved by the Vaccination Committee and announced by the National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus last night.
Those who have taken three jabs of Sinopharm, including a booster, can opt for a fourth shot of either Sinopharm or Pfizer-BioNTech.
“The National Vaccination Campaign will continue its endeavours to safeguard public health,” the task force said in a statement.
“Bahrain is updating vaccination protocols to address the global pandemic and maintain public health.”
The task force called on all individuals qualified for the second booster to head directly to the specific health centres previously announced by the Health Ministry, without the need for an appointment.
