Kuwait has banned public gatherings in closed places from Sunday until February 28.
The decision will be re-examined in light of the epidemiological conditions in the country.
The cabinet also made it mandatory for all incoming travellers to undergo a PCR test 72 hours ahead of arrival in the country.
