A NUMBER of exhibitions are being organised across the kingdom, putting some of the best works by various artists under the spotlight.
Artworks by Egyptian artist Farouk Hosny can be viewed at the Art Centre in Muharraq until February 5, from 9am to 8pm each day.
The event is being organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities in collaboration with Bahrain Gallery.
A solo exhibition by photographer Sara Sami is being showcased at Al A’ali Shopping Complex’s Last Oil Well Art Space.
The ‘Across the Causeway’ exhibition places Saudi Arabia under the spotlight in a bid to showcase her passion for travel and adventure, as well as to inspire other women to not let fear deter them from exploring the unknown.
It features 30 photographs documenting her road trips to Bahrain’s neighbouring country. The exhibition runs until Saturday.
A beautiful blend of the past and the present is front and centre at ‘The Hood’, an exhibition which is being held at the Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Fateh Fort in Riffa, until Thursday. It features artworks portraying the burqa (leather hood) which is used to cover falcons’ eyes in light of the facemasks used during the Covid-19 pandemic.
‘Emotions’ features a collection of paintings by Bahraini artist Deena Radhi. The artworks are a reflection of her ideas and thoughts and highlights her emotions and perspectives.
The paintings are open to public viewing on the ground floor of the Bahrain Financial Harbour’s Harbour Gate until February 5 from 10am to 10pm daily.
