LONG-TIME Bahrain resident Jose Kunjuvareed has died in Kerala, India due to complications with diabetes.
The 72-year-old passed away on February 18 and was seen as a pillar in the community and a senior member of the Kerala Catholic Association (KCA).
A special condolence meeting was also held at the KCA in Segaya. KCA Golden Jubilee chairman Abraham John recalled that Mr Jose played a pivotal role in the association’s activities, particularly its membership campaign and souvenir publishing.
Throughout his 42 years in Bahrain, he initially worked with the Mannai group of companies and later joined as an electrical engineer with the Electricity and Water Authority.
He is survived by his wife Kusumam Jose, son Sibin and daughter Sujitha. T
The funeral was held last Saturday at Mariapuram St John Bosco Church in Trissur.
