Abu Dhabi: Fifty years ago, late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan assumed power in the Sheikhdom of Abu Dhabi on August 6, 1966.
Abu Dhabi Executive Council Chairman Shaikh Haza’a bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan paid tribute to the inspirational leader, the founder of modern United Arab Emirates and architect of its development and progress, reported local Arabic daily Al-Ittihad.
He released on his Twitter account a rare photo of the charismatic leader marking the August 6, 1966 anniversary.
He paid homage to the charismatic and visionary leader and hailed his prolific achievements.
