Gamezop, a leading global gamification platform, is embarking on a strategic expansion across the Middle East, leveraging its newly established, wholly-owned subsidiary in Bahrain.
This move, supported by the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB), will see the India-headquartered company invest $4 million to accelerate operations, hire local talent, and explore potential acquisitions.
Founded in 2016 by Yashash and Gaurav Agarwal, Gamezop empowers apps and websites to integrate games, boosting user engagement and driving revenue through in-game advertising. The company plans to onboard more than 1,000 new app and website partners from its Bahrain hub, aiming to double its group revenue within the next 18 months.
Bahrain EDB executive director of ICT Musab Abdulla highlighted Bahrain’s robust digital infrastructure and supportive government initiatives as key attractors. “The arrival of innovative companies like Gamezop further accelerates this growth, creating new opportunities for local developers and reinforcing Bahrain’s position as a hub for creative industries in the region,” he said.
Gamezop co-founder Gaurav Agarwal cited Bahrain’s strategic location, business-friendly environment, and access to the wider region as primary reasons for their choice. “Our presence here marks the beginning of what we hope will become a strong digital bridge between India and the Middle East,” Mr Agarwal noted, praising the Bahrain EDB’s instrumental support.
Gamezop, backed by BITKRAFT Ventures, currently integrates into more than 9,000 platforms across 70+ countries, engaging more than 45 million monthly users. Its new Mena headquarters in Bahrain positions the company to strengthen its regional footprint and contribute to Bahrain’s vision of becoming a leading digital innovation hub.
