RENOWNED Indian mathematician Anand Kumar will be offering key tips on higher education to students in Bahrain.
He will be speaking on ‘The Future of Education in the Post-Pandemic World’, at the Indian School Bahrain on Saturday at 7pm.
Indian Ambassador Piyush Srivastava and Higher Education Council secretary general Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa are expected to attend the event being organised by Salaam Bahrain magazine.
Hailing from India’s Bihar state, Mr Kumar is well known for his Super 30 programme which he started in 2002 and is aimed at coaching underprivileged students to crack entrance exams of prestigious Indian universities.
His life and work was portrayed in the 2019 film, Super 30, starring Indian actor Hrithik Roshan in the lead role.
“We are delighted with the support and enthusiasm of the schools that are participating,” said Salaam Bahrain’s managing director P K Ravi.
Two students from each school will be part of a local Super 14 group that will present a question on stage to Mr Kumar during the interactive event. For more information call 36684011.
