More than 135,000 students have benefited from INJAZ Bahrain’s programmes in the past academic year.
This was revealed during the non-profit organisation’s annual board meeting held at Citi Bahrain in Seef District.
It said in a statement that 1,700 volunteers helped deliver programmes in more than 300 schools and 10 universities across Bahrain.
The board meeting highlighted the organisation’s achievements, successes, as well as its aspirations and initiatives for the upcoming year.
“We are proud of the impact that the chapter has made with national youth as they grow into the leaders and innovators of tomorrow,” said INJAZ Bahrain chairperson Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa.
INJAZ Bahrain announced that its annual Young Entrepreneurs Competition will have participants from 15 high schools and 10 universities in Bahrain.
Upcoming initiatives include a new brand identity which introduces a new youth-oriented vision to the organisation.
In addition, more than 79 internship opportunities will be offered across diverse sectors of the industry.
Other prominent highlights were INJAZ Bahrain’s collaboration with BBK to develop a new programme to spread awareness on the fundamentals of banking to high school students.
INJAZ Bahrain is a non-profit organisation that was established in 2005 as part of Junior Achievement Worldwide with the aim of empowering young people to own their economic success and be prepared for today’s business challenges.
With the help of its partners and volunteers, INJAZ Bahrain impacts thousands of students every year with the aim of bringing them closer to the real world and opening their minds to their own potential.
