Red Bull announced that they are officially venturing into the hyper-car territory today with the RB17.
Inspired by the success of the Red Bull F1 team, the RB17 will be the first hyper-car project designed, developed, and manufactured entirely in house by Red Bull.
Priced at more than $6 million, before tax, the RB17 will be powered by a V8 hybrid engine developing over 1,100bhp.
Designed around a carbon-composite tub, the RB17 will reportedly feature the most advanced ground effect package available in a series production car.
Created by Adrian Newey, chief technical officer of Oracle Red Bull Racing and Red Bull Advanced Technologies, the RB17 is set to be a two-seat hypercar optimised for the ultimate on-track driving experience.
The car is set to start production in 2025 and only 50 will be made.
