A woman from the UK's Leeds city took online food delivering company Deliveroo to court and won; after the burger and chips that she ordered arrived three hours late.
The 27-year-old, who refused to accept the £37.50 meal after it was finally delivered, was able to win a £75 payout from the delivery app.
Fae Holliday had ordered a ‘baconator’ with fries and it was estimated that her dinner would arrive in 30 minutes, although she was left going to bed hungry.
Ms Holliday initially issued a complaint via the app and after an hour or arguing with what she said was like ‘talking to a robot’, she decided to take the company to court.
The company also ended up charging her the full price for her meal and simply ‘thanked her for her feedback’, according to The Sun.
“I took a stand and I’m so pleased I won — not just for me, but for other people," she said, adding that she would have faced hefty fines had she lost.
