Four out of 10 people prefer two-day weekend, says survey
Did they interview only bosses and company owners?
@om_laila_630
Four work days would be better.
@sh_7._.raj
No one asked me.
@talalbinkhalid
These posts about surveys are a joke.
@thriller.xf
Fake news.
@zalzalak21
We need Friday/Saturday/Sunday off. Enjoying the weekend like any other country is a right. Hope this will be confirmed very soon.
@feemaison
So majority people prefer three-day weekend.
@santosh_kotha_
Even five working days is not bad. The main issue is long working hours; five to six hours max a day so people can have a social life as well.
@kaami778
Even eight hours is okay but here I see companies especially those paying low salaries make their employees work 10-12 hours a day! That’s modern-day slavery that needs to leave this country.
@nickjaug
Can we fully abolish one-day weekends in Bahrain first? Having a two-day weekend helps your body and mind refresh for the next week.
@nickjaug
Me nor my family nor my friends nor anyone I know was interviewed ... fragile survey.
@bhscrap.metals
Stupid survey.
@sulaimanaljanahi
Who are these four?
@fozia.mohammad
Ten people represent 150,000 of the workforce?
@emadqamer
Who are they?
@safmatar
Most probably they have a one-day weekend only.
@efjm23
I currently work four days a week and have three days off and I can tell you it’s fabulous!
@genkigirl
Balance six get one-day holiday.
@asshuu.pattani
Good sample size.
@m_qassimi
Yeah, if you only interview CR owners. It’s like saying, ‘Do you want higher salaries’, and you only ask company owners ... what do you think they are going to say?
@petepoco_degen
How about those who have only one day off, anyone asked them?
@ashfaq.bh
So less than half? Somehow you make four out of 10 sound like a majority consensus.
Lee Ann Fleetwood
How about six out of 10 would like a four-day week!
Liz O’reilly
Four-day work is sustainable and worthy of living well. Who said four out of 10? Maybe the employers.
Rose Santos
But they don’t want to give khaddama (servant) and house worker a day off in one month; they want to give work.
Mohamad Yunus Memon
That’s true.
Abdul Salim
I wouldn’t mind a four-day weekend.
Siân Doherty
Let those 40 per cent work six days a week.
Mohammed Faisal
Who are these people?
Zarrish Sheikh
This only applies to all except housemaid. They want the housemaid to serve them till they’re awake.
Ma Theresa S Sasi
Where’s that two days?
Moosa Jaffar
This is only for office workers.
Saeed Rahman
Who exactly makes this survey? The world is going for three-day vacation now and found more efficient and productive than the old system! And here they support one-day weekend!
Nayera Karim
So 60 per cent prefer four-day week. Sign of the times. Let’s shift.
Omar Ahmed Khan
All these surveys are being published and my thoughts dives deep into my mind to figure out which part of Bahrain are these surveys been conducted ... majority works six days a week.
Ahmed Nizme N Khulood
Lies!
Pompilia Buzatu
Who did the survey? Where? Why we even don’t know about it? Of course, four days working week. Who would say no? Fake results, I think. The only reason not to support this, if your salary would be less as well.
