Bahrain’s Ali Ibrahim claimed the bronze medal in Men’s Physique competition of the 22nd Arab Men’s Bodybuilding Championship, as well as the 13th Youth Bodybuilding and the 2nd Physique and Classic Physique event, being held in Alexandria, Egypt.
With this result, Ali Ibrahim, who was among 44 contestants in the event, increased his personal medal tally to 20 including six golds, nine silvers and five bronzes to become Bahrain’s most accomplished bodybuilder.
Fifteen countries are participating in the championship, which is being held for the first time since 2019 following the interruption for Covid-19.
Bahrain’s Ali Saqr Al Binali will be seen in action today in the 90kg bodybuilding competition, while Khalid Jassim will take part in the 75kg competition.
Meanwhile, Alexandria Governor Major General Mohammed Al Sharif honoured the Bahrain Weightlifting & Bodybuilding Association during the opening ceremony by presenting a memento to chairman Sami Al Haddad.
