A young man in Egypt allegedly burned down a school his fiancée attended because she failed her final exams.
The accused was arrested in the Menofia governorate, according to local media.
Gharbia Security Directorate received an alert from El-Santah police station stating that a fire had broken out at Kafr Salem Al-Nahal School for Commercial Education.
Civil Defence was able to put out the fire before spreading with the help of civilians.
According to authorities, the man blamed the school for her fiancée's academic performance. He set fire to the school in retaliation and then fled to his hometown after committing the crime.
No deaths or injuries were reported.
