In what looks like something out of a futuristic sci-fi movie, the Detroit Airport is leaving passengers speechless with it's new 'Parallel Reality' technology.
The tech uses non-biometric sensors to show passengers only their information, and no one else's, which means that passengers cannot view each other's information either.
The sensors track people based on their size, and once scanned, display the relevant information such as flight times, distance and time to gate on a giant announcement board.
The board looks blank to passersby, while the passenger who scanned their boarding pass, is displayed all the relevant information, thus preserving privacy.
Misapplied Sciences, which developed the technology, uses multi-view pixels to display information to multiple passengers at the same time, while keeping it private from others.
The Metro Airport in Detroit is the first in the world to use this technology.
