His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to upholding the values of peace, tolerance and coexistence, as well as facilitating intercultural and religious dialogue, which are the core pillars of the visions of His Majesty King Hamad.
HRH Prince Salman made the remarks yesterday as he received, at Shaikh Hamad Palace, the heads of the delegations participating in Bahrain Dialogue Forum: East and West for Human Coexistence, being held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad.
He noted Bahraini citizens’ openness to cultural diversity and inclusion, which has ensured the kingdom remains a diverse home to many and place of religious harmony.
“Bahrain will continue to be a nation of peace and tolerance,” he said, noting that the kingdom’s wide-ranging commitment to hosting a broad range of forums and events that cultivate mutual recognition of beliefs and the exchange of ideas, and has contributed to strengthening regional and global peace and stability.
The Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the importance of the forum, which serves as a powerful means for promoting dialogue and spreading the spirit of peace despite global challenges.
He expressed his hopes that the forum’s successful outcomes will contribute to achieving these goals.
He hosted a lunch banquet in honour of the heads of the delegations participating at the forum.
His Majesty’s Special Representative Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and a number of senior officials attended the meeting.
