Kuwait has recorded its first case of the Omicron subvariant, XBB.1.5.
The Health Ministry said in a statement that indicators of the epidemiological situation in the country are witnessing stability, renewing calls for adherence to prevention guidelines.
It also added that the emergence of such variants is expected and does not cause concern, adding there is close follow-up of the epidemiological situation by the advisory team on coronavirus developments.
