THE all-new premium urban crossover Nissan X-Trail 2023 was unveiled at a special ceremony at the marquee’s Bahrain showroom in Sitra last night.
The launch event by Nissan Bahrain was attended by YK Almoayyed & Sons chairman Farouk Almoayyed, chief executive Alok Gupta, as well as media representatives.
“For over 20 years, the X-Trail has been an integral part of our SUV line-up in the region and has continually catered to the needs of families and adventure enthusiasts across the kingdom,” said Nissan Bahrain general manager Ahmed Dailami.
“Brought about by a deep understanding of our customers, the all-new 2023 Nissan X-Trail, which is one of our most technologically advanced SUVs to date, addresses customer desires in the rapidly growing mid-size SUV segment and is in line with our global Nissan NEXT transformation plan.”
The new model features a distinctive exterior with signature Nissan elements like the V-motion grille and floating roof design.
In addition, for the first time on the X-Trail line-up, the SUV includes ProPILOT Assist, as well as a total of 35.4-inches of cabin screens.
To boost its appeal to families, the SUV’s rear doors open up to 85 degrees for easier access.
The interior has also received a premium upgrade, and the top-of-the-line SL grade includes Nappa leather-accented seating with 3D diamond quilting.
Under the hood, it is powered by an all-new 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, that raises power output by 12-horsepower to 181hp, compared to its predecessor. Torque has also increased incrementally to 244Nm, up by 11Nm over the previous model.
The X-Trail is equipped with an intelligent 4x4 system and comes with a twist-dial Drive Mode selector with five modes – Off-Road, Snow, Auto, Eco and Sports.
At the launch, executives and management emphasised the sports utility vehicle’s goal to ‘Defy Ordinary’, encouraging guests to ‘eXpand’, ‘eXpress’, ‘eXplore’, ‘eXhale’ and ‘eXist’ beyond the everyday.
The new Nissan X-Trail, which is the fourth generation SUV model to sport the brand’s latest design language and insignia, following the Nissan Patrol, Pathfinder, and Kicks, is available for booking at the Nissan Showroom in Sitra.
The new model has a starting price of BD11,195, with special promotions available at the showroom.
