His Majesty King Hamad yesterday issued a royal order adjourning the first session of the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and Parliament as of today.
He received a cable of thanks from Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam and Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh following the issuance of the order.
Mr Al Musallam thanked His Majesty for his follow-up on the work of Parliament, which reflected the royal confidence in its role in achieving the interests of the kingdom and its people.
He underlined the King’s unwavering care for the ‘Democratic Monument’, which was one of the fruits of the royal reform project.
Mr Al Saleh also thanked His Majesty on the issuance of the order, appreciating his constant support for the legislative branch.
He expressed his deepest pride in the kingdom’s democratic and legislative march, whose achievements and successes have increased thanks to the King’s directives. Mr Al Saleh pledged to continue drawing inspiration from the King’s vision to ensure the sustainability of Bahrain’s accomplishments.
