Bahrain’s promising investment opportunities, in addition to the Economic Development Board’s (EDB) services for investors and efforts to diversify the economy were highlighted yesterday.
Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa told Brunei’s Prince Abdul Mateen that both countries were keen to open broader horizons for expanding the scope of co-operation in all fields, especially trade, economy and investment.
The Brunei Prince was visiting the EDB headquarters at Bahrain Bay, within the framework of the current official visit of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei to Bahrain.
Prince Abdul Mateen was welcomed upon arrival by the Finance and national Economy Minister, in the presence of ministers and officials from the two countries.
Shaikh Salman stressed the importance of the outcomes of the official talks held between His Majesty King Hamad and Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah in consolidating co-operation.
Shaikh Salman affirmed the keenness of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to continue bolstering bilateral ties at all levels.
The delegation of Brunei watched a presentation that shed light on EDB’s efforts to boost investments between Bahrain and global markets, contributing to attracting direct investments to the kingdom that have created quality job opportunities.
