The Miss Universe Bahrain organisation is getting closer to crowning its new queen after the voices of the Top 10 finalists were revealed.
The candidates recently participated in a ‘Blind Introduction’, a concept created by the Miss Universe Bahrain team in which finalists interacted through Zoom calls without knowing each other’s name or appearance.
“I always say to the media, or even to the candidates when they ask me, ‘Josh, what are you looking for in a winner?’ I am looking for someone who is beyond a beautiful face or a beautiful body,” said the owner and national director of the organisation Josh Yugen.
“She must be an inspirational representative of the Miss Universe Bahrain organisation. Someone who will understand that compassion for the earth, nature, animals and humanity is the core of her purpose. Someone that would use her voice for the voiceless and share her talent as a gift to inspire thousands or even millions of young kids to be their best and reach their dreams.”
During the Blind Introduction, each finalist answered one question from Mr Yugen and from the reigning Miss Universe Bahrain Evlin Abdulla Khalifa. And then in a surprise twist, Mr Yugen asked each contender to present one question to a candidate that they felt stood out during the whole Zoom conversation.
The whole Podcast version of the Blind Introduction can be found on the Miss Universe Bahrain official YouTube account and snippets are also available on its Instagram.
The official Top Seven finalists will be announced in the next few days.
Production for the next Miss Universe Bahrain begins this month, with the first episode set to be broadcast in August.
