A lecture organised at the Bahrain National Museum next week will shine a spotlight on the history of pearl diving in Bahrain.
Titled ‘Sailing Oyster Hyrat: Recalling Events and Scenes from Bahrain’s History’, the lecture will be presented by Bahrain University Professor Ibrahim Abdullah Matar.
He will highlight the diving seasons with all its societal dimensions using a visual presentation documenting the different stages of the era.
The event is being organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities as part of the Museums and Archaeology initiative. It takes place on Tuesday, starting 7pm. For more details and registration, visit culture.gov.bh
