I WAS surprised to find that I was obliged to pay a tip to the delivery driver after ordering a meal using a popular smartphone app.
It’s not that I mind handing over some loose change or even a couple of dinars for exemplary service (the food arriving hot for a change!) but I feel it needs to be above and beyond what is expected after you pay a fair price for a product .
